Elevators always essential for evacuating high-rise buildings
In 2011, the ‘Evacuating high-rise buildings by elevators and stairs’ report was published in the Netherlands. This was the result of extensive research into the circumstances and options surrounding the evacuation of high-rise buildings in the Netherlands where the use of elevators plays a major role. Liftinstituut was involved in the research. The report’s most important conclusion was that elevators are always essential in these situations.
